This will be a short one, my oldest broke her arm at school yesterday and I am mentally and emotionally exhausted.
The challenge this fortnight at Crafting With Dragonflies is to make a gift box/folder with at least 3 cards. We are sponsored by Di's Digis and my images are from our other sponsor A Day For Daisies, little striped shirt and little striped dress. I thought to save time I would use watercolor paper and paint stripes as the background. But the watered down paint smeared the printer ink of my image. So Plan B was to create a digital background. It would have been faster to make my own paper, pick berries and crush them to make my own stains, and pick hairs from the back of a boar and bind them to a twig as a paintbrush, and then paint all 6 cards individually. I had a terrible time with the background strips. They were made, printed and cut out in my Silhouette. The box is another Silhouette cut file. I used double sided tape to put it together. I am going to add a monogram medallion to the front of the box and give this set away to the School Secretary. She is always in need of little gift cards for kids and has helped us with soooo many things I think a little thank-you is in order.

Your images are so pretty and your backgrounds are amazing, despite the problems! Do hope Kaylee's arm is improving and that you all got some much needed sleep.
Considering all the drama that went on you still managed to make your card set, well done....it looks so cute and what a novel idea to print on the stripy paper, love it ..blessings Hilde
What little darling cards you have made. The colours are so soft and soothing. Great little folder to put them in too. Love the idea you used for the background - perfect.
Wonderful project so love the cards and their cute pocket hugsTxx
